BookingPress Recurring Appointments Addon

BookingPress Recurring Appointments Addon extends the BookingPress appointment booking plugin with a way to reserve a series of future appointments in one booking session. It is aimed at businesses whose clients return on a regular schedule, such as services built around daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly sessions. Instead of entering each appointment separately, a client selects a recurring pattern and pays for the booked sessions upfront.

Recurring booking focus

The addon addresses a narrow but common scheduling problem: turning an ongoing service relationship into a set of appointments at the point of booking. The client chooses the preferred dates, times, and frequency, while the site handles the resulting series as related future bookings. This suits businesses that already know the expected rhythm of a service before the first appointment takes place.

Upfront payment for the full series gives the provider a clearer commitment from the client and supports the cash-flow benefit described by the developer. It also avoids asking the client to repeat the same booking process for every visit. The addon works across services offered through the underlying BookingPress system rather than being limited to one appointment type.

Choices at checkout

The client-side experience is built around giving the customer control over the pattern of appointments rather than presenting a single fixed recurrence. The stated booking flow includes:

• Daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly recurrence options
• Selection of preferred dates and times
• Booking of multiple future appointments in one session
• Upfront payment covering all sessions in the series
• Automatic suggestions when a selected slot is unavailable

The availability suggestions are particularly useful for recurring bookings, where one unsuitable slot could otherwise interrupt the whole series. The vendor does not describe the exact suggestion rules, so site owners should treat this as a convenience during booking rather than a detailed availability-planning system.

Managing the series

On the administration side, the addon provides a dashboard for managing and tracking pre-booked recurring appointments. That gives staff a single place to review the future bookings generated by a client’s series and to oversee recurring appointments across the services on the site. For a business handling several repeating schedules, grouping this work in the booking dashboard is more practical than relying on separate manual records.

The client and backend interfaces are both presented as part of the addon’s design. That matters because recurring appointments create two related jobs: collecting a usable schedule from the customer and keeping the resulting appointments visible to the team. The addon’s value rests on covering both sides rather than only adding a recurrence selector to the public booking form.

What to weigh

This is an extension, not a standalone appointment system, so it adds a dependency on the BookingPress plugin. A site that does not already use BookingPress would be taking on the base booking platform as well as this recurring feature, with the associated need to manage both pieces.

The upfront-payment model also favours services with predictable attendance and a clear series of dates. It is less comfortable for appointments that are frequently moved, cancelled, or booked one at a time, because the vendor copy does not describe recurrence editing, cancellation rules, refunds, or customer self-service changes after payment. The listed frequencies cover common patterns, but no other scheduling intervals are specified.

Who it suits

BookingPress Recurring Appointments Addon is a focused fit for providers who sell repeat sessions and want customers to reserve them together. Classes, treatment programmes, coaching schedules, and other services with a regular cadence fit the described model well. It is less compelling for businesses whose appointments rarely repeat or whose customers need extensive changes after a series has been paid for.

Choose it when the main requirement is recurring appointment capture, upfront payment, and a central view of future bookings inside BookingPress. The feature set is specific rather than broad, which is useful when that workflow matches the business but leaves more complex recurring-booking policies outside the information provided here.
