A Gravity Forms add-on that turns date-based form entries into calendars, Gravity Calendar gives submitted events a more useful front-end presentation than a plain entry list. It is aimed at sites collecting appointments, classes, bookings, schedules or other records with a start date and time.
From entries to events
The core setup connects a Gravity Forms form to a calendar feed. Date and time fields provide the schedule data, while the calendar configuration determines how each submission appears. Event titles, descriptions, start and end dates, times, colours and custom URLs are all configurable, so the calendar does not have to expose the form entry in one fixed format.
That mapping is the important part of the product. A form can collect the information, while the calendar gives visitors a way to scan those submissions by date. Custom URLs also provide a direct route from an event to another page or destination, rather than forcing every detail into the calendar display.
Views for different schedules
Gravity Calendar supports three calendar layouts: Grid, Agenda and List. Grid is the natural choice for a month-style overview, while Agenda and List views put more emphasis on the sequence of events. The calendar supports day, week, month and year ranges, giving visitors several ways to move from a broad schedule to a particular date.
Navigation controls let visitors browse different dates directly on the front end. That matters for schedules that extend beyond the current week, such as classes, appointments or recurring booking periods. The available views also give site owners a way to present the same date-based submissions according to the audience: a quick overview for one visitor and a chronological list for another.
Controlled front-end editing
Administrators can optionally allow authorised users to edit event dates and times from the front end. Drag-and-drop interaction makes that useful for schedule maintenance, particularly when appointments or bookings need to move without returning to the form-entry administration screen.
The permission detail is significant. This is described as editing for authorised users, not unrestricted public editing, so the feature fits a managed calendar rather than an open community noticeboard. The focus is also on dates and times, keeping the editing task narrow and appropriate for schedule changes.
What to weigh
The first trade-off is the dependency on Gravity Forms and on correctly structured date and time fields. Gravity Calendar is not a standalone event manager; its calendar content comes from form submissions. Sites that do not already use Gravity Forms will need to plan the form and field structure before the calendar becomes useful.
The second trade-off is scope. The listed editing feature covers event dates and times, while the broader event details come from the configured form fields. That suits schedule adjustments, but it does not establish a full front-end event-management workflow for editing every part of an entry. The multiple views also change presentation rather than adding a stated filtering, search or availability system.
Who it suits
Gravity Calendar fits a WordPress site where Gravity Forms already collects date-based information and visitors need a navigable schedule. It is a sensible match for appointments, classes, bookings and event submissions that benefit from day, week, month or year views.
It is less suited to a site looking for an independent calendar database or a complete booking platform. Its strength is the bridge between Gravity Forms entries and a structured calendar, with configurable event fields, several display layouts and optional authorised schedule editing.
