Soliloquy PDF Addon

This addon turns a PDF document into a responsive slider inside WordPress, with each page converted into its own slide. It is intended for presentation decks, catalogues, brochures, reports and eBooks that should be browsed on a site rather than presented only as a file visitors must download.

PDF pages as slides

The central feature is straightforward: upload a PDF and Soliloquy converts its pages into a slider. That preserves the page-by-page structure of the source document while placing it in a format suited to embedded website content. Presenters can publish their existing slide decks without rebuilding them in WordPress, and organisations can display longer documents as a sequence visitors can move through at their own pace.

• Converts each PDF page into an individual slider slide.
• Creates responsive sliders for presentation slides and other PDF files.
• Retains fonts, formatting and images from the PDF.
• Supports documents such as catalogues, brochures, reports and eBooks.
• Keeps the content browsable on mobile devices.

Preserves the source design

Using PDF as the input format is a practical choice for fixed-layout material. The vendor specifically positions the addon around retaining fonts, formatting and images intact, so a finished presentation or designed report does not need to be reconstructed as separate WordPress content. This is particularly useful when the visual arrangement matters as much as the text.

Processing in the admin

Conversion takes place while you continue working on other items in the WordPress administration area. Soliloquy notifies you when the conversion is complete, which suits larger documents that do not need to be handled as an immediate, interactive editing task. The result is a slider built from the PDF rather than a collection of pages that has to be assembled manually.

What to weigh

The conversion is not instantaneous for every document. Processing time depends on the size of the PDF, so a large report or lengthy eBook requires patience before its slider is ready. The page-by-page approach also means that the presentation follows the PDF as supplied; changes to content, slide order or visual design still belong in the source document and require a new conversion.

There is also a format constraint. The addon is built around PDFs rather than direct PowerPoint or Keynote imports. Speakers using those applications need to produce a PDF first, and any later edits made in the original presentation need to be reflected in a newly prepared PDF. Visitors get a browsable slider, but the workflow remains centred on a finished document rather than live slide editing in WordPress.

Who it suits

This is a focused fit for presenters, publishers and site owners with finished PDF material to display. It makes sense for a conference speaker sharing presentation slides, a business presenting a brochure, or an organisation publishing a report without sending visitors away to a third-party document service. If the requirement is to preserve a designed PDF while giving it a responsive, slide-based presentation in WordPress, the addon addresses that specific job without asking you to recreate the document by hand.
